Calm and cautious, he’s still learning to trust humans and hasn’t yet welcomed physical interaction. For now, he prefers observing his surroundings from high perches, where he can take in the world at his own pace.

Though shy, Leap Year isn’t without moments of playfulness. When the mood strikes, he’ll engage in a bit of typical feline fun, showing flashes of the lively, curious spirit within. He’s also been known to chirp or quietly meow at the sight of other cats, though his history suggests he’s happiest as a solo cat for now.

Leap Year’s journey to feeling safe and comfortable has been slow but steady. He’s made progress since his arrival, but there’s still a way to go. He’s looking for patient adopters who understand that trust takes time and are willing to give him the space and love he needs to blossom. With gentle encouragement and consistency, Leap Year has the potential to overcome his anxiety and discover how wonderful life with humans can be.
