My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Samira arrived at the rescue 6+ months ago and was very sad, having lost the only parent she had ever known since she was a puppy. However, in just a short time of transition, Samira has adjusted beautifully and is embracing all the love and attention she is receiving. She is a happy, delightful, spirited beauty, who really enjoys being with people, cuddling, petting, and just hanging out. Samira also likes to romp in the yard, go for brisk leash walks, and she gets along well with other dogs.

Samira is an adorable Lhasa Apso, about 11 years old and 15-16 pounds. She is in good condition and has lots of energy and fun vibes to share. It’s been a joy to see this wonderful lady become her happy, sweet, friendly self. Won’t you please consider welcoming Samira into your family, and put in an application today. Submit Application

The first step in adopting from Shih Tzu Rescue is to fill out an application on our website at shihtzurescue.org

2.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Once your application has been approved we will schedule an appointment for you to visit our shelter and dogs and take home with you.

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption contract that must be completed and approved. We require vet and personal references as well home checks. Our normal response time is approximately 7 to 10 working days. Our Adoption Committee works very hard to place our dogs in environments where they will be most likely to succeed. Please understand that we have more applications than we do dogs and that if you do not hear from us within that timeframe, we currently do not have a dog who we feel would match your needs.

Our fee includes neuter or spay, all shots, and snap test for heartworm/erlichia/lyme. We take care of whatever their medical needs might be before they are adopted. WE ADOPT TO ALL OF FLORIDA AS WELL AS OTHER STATES. WE DO NOT SHIP
