Sweet boy Max came to the shelter when his former owners could no longer care for him. Scared when he first arrived, he quickly realized that the shelter was full of staff and volunteers who would love and care for him and he has shown us what a sweet and loving boy he truly is!
His volunteer friends love him to pieces, sharing:
“I absolutely adore Max. He is a sweet, young, playful puppy who just wants love. Very scared when he first came to the shelter, he has completely come out of his shell. Max is a calm, gentle soul who LOVES belly rubs and cuddles, and considers himself a lap dog. While his kennelmate is rambunctious and commands your attention, Max sneaks in for a quiet snuggle. He is so very lovable. I would take him home myself if I could!! He will thrive with a loving family.”
`Wow, Max is so sweet!! He is easy to leash up in the kennel and head to the nearest play yard. Once in the yard he goes potty and then clamors over me for pets and kisses!! He is seriously so dang sweet!! Max is completely tolerant of his goofball kennelmate’s antics as he jumps and crawls all over him. He just wants love!”
`I`ve been taking Max and his kennelmate to the yard and they`re super sweet! They clearly enjoy each other`s company. They`re always in their kennel with wagging tails. They love running around in the yard without a worry in the world. They can play rough and get vocal, but rest assured, they`re having fun.”
In former homes Max was reported to be a playful and affectionate boy who is good with young children and all sizes of dogs. He was house trained and loved toys.
When meeting other dogs in playgroup Max has been playful and tolerant. He is looking for a family who will welcome him indoors and give him time to settle in and get comfortable in his new environment. He hopes to meet any potential future furry roommates before heading home.
If you’re looking for a calm and sweet pup who does well with kids and other dogs, come meet Max today!
