My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Peabody, with his distinctive wirehaired coat and boundless energy, may very well be a Jack Russell Terrier or a delightful mix of some equally wonderful breeds. While his exact lineage remains a charming mystery, there's no doubt about the joy and vivacity he brings into every room. At 4 years old, Mr. Peabody has matured into a fun-loving and sweet companion, whose intelligence and zest for life shine through in everything he does.

This clever boy is not just a pet; he's a ready-made adventure buddy, always eager to embark on new explorations and experiences. Whether it's a hike through the woods, a stroll around the neighborhood, or a playful game in the backyard, Mr. Peabody's enthusiasm is infectious. His smart, curious nature makes him the perfect partner for both physical activities and mental challenges, ensuring that life with him is never dull.

Mr. Peabody's sweet disposition and eagerness to please make him an ideal companion for anyone looking for a dog to share in life's great adventures. His spirited personality and keen intelligence promise a bond filled with loyalty, laughter, and endless adventures. If you're looking for a furry friend who will be by your side through thick and thin, ready to turn every day into an exciting journey, Mr. Peabody might just be the one you've been waiting for.

More about this rescue

The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.

Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
