My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bernie is an affectionate, loyal, quiet, and easygoing dog. He was originally rehomed to us, but unfortunately we can no longer keep him. This has nothing to do with his behavior. He's an energetic yet sleepy pup who gets along well with our 40lb lab mix (see pics). Bernie tends to sleep most of the day, but when he's awake he's always down for some belly rubs.

Bernie tends to be skittish around new dogs but once he gets to know them and understand that they won't hurt him, he warms up nicely.

We're not 100% sure how hold he is, but we think about 12-13 years old. He has all his faculties - he jumps, runs, and everything else.

In his new home, we think Bernie would do best in a house with no other dogs, or a house with friendly dogs. Unfortunately we're not sure if he's good around kids. He has been such a delight to have, we just want him to go to a loving home.
