What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I got Max when he was a 5 month old pup. He seemed a bit shy at first, but warmed up to us after some treats. After bringing him home, I noticed within a week that he did not take kindly to strangers. He would need to warm up to everyone he meets, and would fearfully bite any stranger trying to pet him. Please understand this before applying, as he still does this.
Fast forward to today, he is now a 2-year-old beautiful looking dog. He is very smart and energetic, and responds well to his commands (sit, stay, come) and is protective and loving to his family, but his fear aggression toward strangers is still very present. One thing to note, however, is that he LOVES other dogs and can play with them all day. Unfortunately, he just has this reactive issue I can't seem to control.
As much as I love Max, I decided it is best to rehome him to someone who can give him what he needs. I am confident that with a little patience, he will be loyal and loving to his new owner!
