Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thank you for your interest in adopting Debbie. Please note that Debbie is an international rescue, so when your application is approved, you will need to pick her up from an airport such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, YVR, etc. We understand that international adoption may seem complicated, but we have many years of experience and are happy to guide you through the process.
Debbie and her two sisters were found by a rescuer in a big drain in the countryside one night. They were wet, covered in mud, and looked helpless. The rescuer was afraid that they would freeze to death or be washed away by the rising water, so she immediately reached out to the local community on Facebook for help. Some residents who lived nearby came to assist with the rescue.
After an hour, the three puppies were brought to a safe place. The rescuer contacted a private dog shelter that agreed to take them in. However, the shelter was overcrowded and lacked the necessary resources to properly care for the dogs. The rescuer paid the resettlement fee but was disappointed to see the poor condition of the three puppies, including Debbie.
The rescuer decided to take action and brought the puppies to an animal hospital for a health check-up. Thankfully, they were all in good health. Debbie is an adorable and gentle dog with a baby face and round eyes. She is slightly shy and may dodge people when a stranger approaches her. However, if she is lying down, she is more at ease with being approached and petted.
Debbie gets along well with other dogs in her foster home, but she prefers not to be disturbed when she is resting. If other dogs continue to bother her, she may bark at them to express her displeasure. However, she is generally obedient and will not try to break free even when picked up by a stranger.
It's important to note that Debbie does not like loud noises or crowded environments. She may become nervous in these situations and will lie down in a spot where she feels safe. She enjoys going to the pet park to run and play with other dogs but prefers to avoid it if there are too many people around. Her ideal forever home would be in a quieter area, such as the countryside or a suburban neighborhood with a yard where she can run and play.
Debbie is both indoor and outdoor potty trained and does not show any food or resource guarding behaviors. She does well with bathing but is not a fan of nail trimming. Her foster mom has been patiently guiding her through the process, and she is slowly becoming more cooperative.
Debbie is a sweet and gentle dog who is gaining confidence every day. She would make a wonderful addition to a loving family. She is currently in Taiwan. If you are interested in adopting Debbie, please feel free to contact us for more information or fill out the adoption form on our website. We hope that she will soon find her forever home and become a cherished member of a family.
