We sometimes have cats that take us a long time to get them adopted and we’re never sure why. We tell these kitties who wait so long “ good things come to kitties who wait” and they do, but it makes us sad to see them wait so long.
Zora who is now four years-old was surrendered to the Trenton Shelter in April 2023. She spent time in our foster homes and everyone who has fostered her loves her, she finally got adopted in February of 2024. We thought her happy new beginning had finally started, she and her adopter loved each other. A month after adopting Zora, her owner had a catastrophic health issue and we got Zora back in March 2024. This poor girl has had nothing but bad luck and none of it was her fault.
All this wonderful girl wants is a truly forever home and someone/people who will love her forever.
Zora Facts:
She truly LOVES people , she slept with one of her foster moms every single night. So, if you adopt her, you’ll have your very own cuddly bed warmer. Even though she loves people , if you are away from home she is perfectly happy amusing herself looking at the birds outside or playing with her toys.
She’s been with a few of our fosters (sometimes we need to rearrange foster situations for cats depending on what is going on in the rescue). Everyone who has fostered her has loved her and can’t figure out why she hasn’t been adopted. We’re all stumped.
She’s a bit of a chubster (like so many of us LOL). She doesn’t eat more than any other cat and has no health issues, she’s just a “big boned” adorable girl.
She's also intelligent and gets to know your little routines quickly! She'll be waiting at the window for when you get home.
She doesn’t care for other cats …..at all, she needs to be the only kitty queen in the house.
We hope there is someone out there who wants to adopt one great cat and give her the FOREVER home she deserves that so far has eluded her. We know there is someone out there for her, we just haven’t found them yet.
If you'd like to meet this cat or think this cat would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.trentoncats.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt!
