My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

See more pictures of Chilly Bones and info from his foster mom on our Facebook page...."Great Pyrenees Rescue of Central Illinois" ...........We will never understand how this super sweet pup was never claimed from our local animal control. Chilly Bones (proudly named by my 3 year old grandson) is just a doll. He is fully vetted and ready for adoption. Chilly is friendly and outgoing to everyone he meets. Currently weighs 85 pounds at about 10 months and is steadily catching up after arriving underweight. He is hitting a home run in regard to manners and behavior in his foster home. Chilly is good with other dogs including small dogs, okay with cats, gentle with people big and small. He has been on outings to the pet store and baseball games and loves to visit with kids. A securely fenced yard is required for safe outside play time.
If interested in adopting Chilly Bones, please visit gprci.com and complete an adoption application. Questions about Chilly can be emailed to gprci.info@gmail.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process includes completing an adoption application, allowing a home/site visit, and if approved for adoption, signing a legally binding adoption contract at the actual time of adoption. Our adoption application can be found on our website at www.gprci.com and can be completed on line or downloaded for printing.

The application will ask for a personal reference and the name and phone number of your current and/or past veterinarian. Vet records must verify that pets receive/have received good care, both in the case of illness/ injury and preventative care (vaccinations, etc). Current pets must be up to date on preventative vet care and spayed or neutered (unless there are extenuating circumstances). We will contact you by phone upon receipt of your application but feel free to call or email with any specific questions.

A securely fenced property is required. Great Pyrenees must be in secure fencing or on leash at all times, for their own safety, as they cannot be reliably trained to a property boundary.

We request of adopters a minimum donation to GPRCI of $200 at the time of adoption to help with some of the vet care expense.

Go meet their pets

Adoptable Great Pyrenees are shown by appointment, usually after a completed application is received and an initial phone interview is conducted.
