Stanley came to us in February after he found himself in need of a suitable home for him to grow and learn in. He was 6 weeks old then, and now he’s a big, strong, growing, 5 month old. While Stanley could easily be classified as a mutt, we were told he has some huskey, pittie, and possibly cattle dog in him. We expect him to grow to around 60 lbs and be very active.

Stanley is a rambunctious boy who loves to learn. He has a lot of energy and needs physical and mental exercise. His foster parents take him on long walks (think, multiple miles), and set up play dates with other dogs. Stanley loves the water, too! He also is learning commands and aims to please. If Stanley doesn’t get the enrichment and exercise he needs, he will quickly become destructive and naughty. However, once he is tuckered out for the day, he is happy to snuggle up on the couch with you.

We can see the Husky in him, as he is very dramatic and talkative. He barks, groans, whines and chatters regularly. We can also see the cattle dog in him, as he will crouch down to pounce, and loves to jog endlessly. The only pittie we can see is his gorgeous brindle coat. These traits should be considered carefully when deciding if Stanley would be a good fit for your home.

Stanley’s ideal home would best with a very active family who will commit the time and energy to a large active puppy. Stanley is great with other dogs of all sizes, cats, and older kids. He is friendly, silly, and loving. He would be a great camping dog,

Stanley is crate trained, knows some commands, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to find his active humans to take him on every adventure. If you think Stanley would be a good fit for your family, fill out an application today!
