We have loved watching Stubby's personality blossom at the shelter, and cannot wait to see how he fully transforms in a home. When Stubby first came to the shelter he seemed very fearful and standoffish, but it did not take him long to realize that staff and volunteers had a lot of love and treats to give to him and he certainly didn't want to miss out on that! Once he was comfortable, Stubby was happy to show off what an affectionate little guy he is- complete with giving kisses, rubbing up against people for pets, and even some playful hand nibbles if he gets too excited. This cutie is happy to sit for a treat and is excited to play with toys of all kinds (though he may destroy them if left unsupervised). Stubby has been friendly around other dogs, though he does not seem to enjoy participating in doggie playgroup and finds it too overwhelming with that many other dogs. Staff believes he would do fine in a home with another dog, but may not prefer large groups of them. Come by the shelter to find out more about this handsome pup and to get to know him for yourself!
