Description
Watusi is a slight mid-sized dog with a black mask and red, medium length coat. Her ears are perky and fuzzy and she loves it when you rub them.
Personality
Watusi is well behaved, patient, gentle, smart, submissive, and obedient. She understands what you want her to do in English, has common sense, and good communication skills. Loves to be pet, wants to stay near to people. Explorative and confident. She sits on your feet or comes up to sit right next to you. She will roll on her back for belly rubs. Crate trained, good on a leash, potty trained. Good in the car, plays well with other dogs.
Background
Watusi was found at Wusson park in February where a volunteer was doing a meet and greet with an adopter. Watusi ran up and barked at their dogs, but made it clear that she wanted the volunteer to follow her. She led her back to a picnic pavilion where someone had left her a dog bed, open bag of food, collar, dog toy, and jug of water. She wanted water, and drank a lot after the volunteer poured her some. Then she let her pet her and put on the collar. She followed willingly on a lead back to the car where she let her pick her up and put her in. She waited patiently for the meet and greet to be over, and was quiet and calm in the car all the way home.
