My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Maverick, the energetic and spirited cattle dog/black lab mix ready to wiggle my way into your heart! At just 5 months old, I'm still discovering the world around me, and boy, is it an exciting place!

Now, I won't sugarcoat it - when I first arrived at the shelter, I was a bit fearful and growly. But hey, who wouldn't be in a new environment? The good news is, with a little patience and understanding, I've made some pawsitive progress already. Yep, that's right! I may need some time to warm up, but once I do, I'm all wags and wiggles!

You see, I've got this puppy enthusiasm that's just contagious. I love to play, romp around, and well, sometimes I might think everything's a game, including chasing and nipping. But hey, I'm still learning the ropes! With some gentle guidance and consistent training, I know I can channel all this energy into more appropriate outlets.

Now, let's address the elephant in the room - those herding instincts. Yep, I've got 'em! But with a little help from you, whether it's through puppy training classes or some fun sessions at home, I'm confident I can redirect that urge to herd into something more constructive. After all, who needs to herd when there are toys to fetch and cuddles to be had?

So, what do you say? Ready to take on this adventure with me? With a bit of love, patience, and a whole lot of playtime, I know we'll make the pawfect team!
