Kota is a magnificent 2-1/2 year old male Australian Shepherd mix who was surrendered by his owner on July 13, 2023.
Kota has a stunning red/mahogany-and-white long smooth coat, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful face with pale blue eyes, a white slender muzzle, and short floppy ears.
These photos of Kota were taken in late March 2024 when Kota was enjoying a relaxing siesta on his blanket-covered Kuranda bed on a rainy afternoon. Kota didn't want to get his long hair soaked and 'frizzled' in the rain, so he decided to take a 'rain check' (pun intended) and wait for an outdoor photo when the sun makes an appearance in the mid-Ohio Valley.
Kota weighs approximately 55 lbs and walks well on leash.
Kota is NOT good with children and is looking for a home where he would not have contact with youngsters. Groomers have learned that Kota also has sensitivity issues about being touched on his head, ears, and feet.
Since Kota has already been neutered, he could leave our shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application .. And he is also available for fostering with an approved adoption/foster application.
