My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola was brought in from outdoors when the nice lady that was caring for her, along with her mama and brother, called Foster and Forever for help. Lola is a scared little girl. She is very spicy. She has soft fur and beautiful swirly markings. She has made good progress while in her foster home, and how has the run of the house! She loves all the other cats in her foster home. She will let you pet her on her terms (when you can catch her), and will reward you with purrs. When Lola has had enough, you may get a swat. She loves her liquid cat treats and toys, and is very playful. The perfect home for Lola would be a calm one with no young children. She would benefit from being with other friendly cats to teach her, and an experienced cat owner who will be understanding and help her to work on her socialization. Lola's foster mom believes that, with love and patience, Lola will become less scared and more social with humans.

Lola was born around July 28, 2024. She is currently being fostered in Waterbury. She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes.
