This 1 year old Staffordshire Terrier mix is such a people lover! He always wants attention from anyone he meets, and you will absolutely want to give him all the pets and cuddles. He is too cute!
Ringo loves to spend his days here at HSSI playing will all the toys. If you give him a ball, he will be content for the entire day. He is still learning basic commands, mostly not to jump when he's gets too excited! He's getting there, but would definitely do best with a family willing to commit to puppy training.
This bulldozer of a guy has been with us for 4 months too long and would love to finally be introduced to a home environment. He has spent most of his life on the streets and then in a shelter with staff who are not able to give him all the attention and affection that he truly deserves. Please help Ringo find a home!
Ringo is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and only in need of his rabies vaccine. Until he is neutered, he will be available for foster to adopt. He has been through soooo much in his short life and his biggest wish is to ring in the New Year with his new family! All animals must be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated before finalizing adoption.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Southern Illinois was first founded in 1956. We are an open-access shelter that accepts animals from three separate animal control officers, as well as the general public. We are mainly funded through donations and every little bit helps.
We work with a few independent rescue coordinators to place adoptable animals in high quality rescue programs.
As always, this would never have been possible without the kind and generous donations of our members and supporters. Please donate to help sustain this vital Life Saving program!
