Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Artemis is my name. But, my friends call me Artie. I am a 6 year old Bassett Hound who came to the shelter due to my loving human passing away. I was unsure and a little confused at first with my new surroundings. But, it didn`t take long for the staff and I to become best of friends. A few things that I enjoy include snacks, butt scratches and walks along the perimeter of the shelter. My favorite game is called `what`s that smell`. I am a natural at this. The country life would be best for me, no city living, I like the quiet of the country...I am a country boy at heart!! With ears like mine I have the potential to be a great listener without passing judgement. But will make sure I am heard when I have something to say with my Woo Woo Wait a minute comment. The staff has leaned more about me, I am a bit dominant, stubborn, strong willed and I like to have my way....so a home without children would be a better fit for me...and no other dogs. Oh... I am not a fan of cats either...so definitely a no cat household for me. A fenced yard would be excellent to help keep me contained as I like to follow my nose. I would be your one and only, and I need a very experienced owner.
