"Welcome! How do you do? Or should I say 'Brrrrpt?' I'm Charpita. I've heard plenty of nicknames– 'Charpita bread', 'Charpita Mellark,' and even 'Charpita Grilled Oyster'. With how friendly I am, you better believe my friends rack up nicknames for me in a snap!
I've been at ARNO since 4/18/2024, making me their current longest resident. I'm only 2 years young! That's not a good record to hold. As a staff and shelter favorite who got along with EVERYONE, it was one of life's greatest mysteries on why I haven't been scooped up yet. So I skedaddled my way into a foster home for a chance to shine– where instead of shining I radiated sparkles so bright you'll need eclipse glasses around me! Hey, now you'll finally get another use out of those!
In my foster home I immediately proved how worthy I am of sharing my charm with the world. My house manners rival British royalty! I don't make a commotion or stir up drama with other resident animals. Although my one vice is stepping on your laptop while you're trying to work but my Cat-holic priest already forgave me for that. ;)
The best way to describe my alluring and chill personality is by being the 'cool roommate'. I won't be stealing your food, blaring noise, or leaving a mess all over the house. But when you have downtime, we can kick back on the couch and drink a couple of meow-tinis together.
Every cat has their iconic trait and mine is a passion of heights. Why nap down below on the floor or couch when I can instead survey the land from the top of my cat tree or my foster human's cat wall shelves? My foster parents quickly noted how swiftly I found my designated pillars and how I embraced them like the inner daredevil I am. I mean, they HAD to be put up just for me, right???
As for other pets, I'm used to all sorts of cat characters. In the shelter I showed sprightly kittens who was da boss. In foster, I respect the older resident cat's space and we cheerfully coexist in each other's presence. I'd be the perfect puzzle piece for a home looking for a buddy for their cat yet one that won't unnecessarily be all up in their business. Or one that has a younger, mischievious cat needing an outlet to exert their infinite energy.
As for a dog, I'd likely do well with them with a traditional slow introduction. They're just like cats but bigger and dumb and can't poop in a box...
As for my other quirks, you're likely to hear me chirping with delight when I first greet you. Or you'll hear my trill of happiness when it's time for food. I should call my lawyers to start making 'Brrrrrrppt!' merch.
Long story short, I was destined for greatness and the opportunity to find someone who loves me back. Take a chance on me and let's see the heights we can reach together!"
