My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Mandy! While this sweet girl may not win a sports cup, she definitely wins hearts! With her ADORABLE puppy dog eyes, and ADORABLE personality- we can't get enough of her! She greets EVERYONE with the invitation for belly rubs and cuddles! With a constant wagging tail- she is SO happy go lucky, and such an inquisitive little pup. Especially if you've got a few treats, then she's all eyes and ears! Mandy hits the scales at JUST over 25 pounds at just about 6 months old- we reckon she will be the PERFECT size for that wonderful companion who can accompany you everywhere, or even nowhere- with your at-home movie nights! She definitely won't mind snagging a few pieces of popcorn and hittin' the hay! If you're looking for the most docile, lovable, and ADORABLE dogs, she is the PERFECT

I can be adopted with a spay/neuter agreement! The refundable fee of $100 is INCLUDED in my $410 adoption fee! This fee covers my spay/neuter surgery (at the Monticello Vet Clinic), my vaccines: Bordetella, DA2PP, Rabies! & my heartworm test + preventatives! The $100 deposit is returned once proof of sterilization is furnished!

Think I might be the perfect fit for your home? You can apply for me here https://animalwelfarefriends.org/adopt/application/ OR you can apply in person when you come visit me any day during business hours! You can even adopt me that same day once approved!!

Please Note: All adoptions are on a first-come first served basis with approved adoption applicants. We do not hold animals unless the adoption is out-of-state, and fees apply. The animal's welfare is our first and only priority, in doing so, they are moved from the shelter into their respective homes as quickly, & humanely as possible to remove the risk of undergoing extreme stress, immune system compromission, & behavioral concerns.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
