This helps Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue with pet care costs.
Say hello to Ricky, a Pointer mix (born Jan 2018). He is looking for a place to live out his golden years!
Ricky is a little timid, but will be your best pal once he trusts you. He needs a home with a fenced yard and he would be okay with another canine friend in his forever home! Here are a few more fun facts:
*Good with kids *House trained
*Low energy *Quiet/doesn't bark much (inside or outside)
*Trained to stay off furniture
*No counter surfing for food
*He leaves the trash alone and doesn't chew on anything that is out around the house
*He has done great with people coming in and out of foster's house- no growls or aggressive barks (just a bark when the doorbell rang, but he went right up to the person, sniffed and then rubbed against them).
*If you're looking to adopt 2 senior dogs, Ricky's furever friend is also up for adoption. Her name is Lucy, an Australian Cattle Dog mix (born Dec 2015). They've been together all their lives and would do well together. These two are seriously the ideal dogs! Please help us find them a home today!!
The suggested adoption donation for Ricky is $275 or $400 for both. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.
Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.
Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
