The adoption fee is waived for Mochi and ALL Desperate Housecats!
Mochi is a very special cat who needs a very special home!
Mochi has a severe heart murmur and brief ultrasound findings include a ventricular septal defect, very enlarged pulmonary artery, and possible mitral dysplasia. Right now Mochi is doing well and had no obvious complications after she was spayed.
In order to know her prognosis and whether or not there is any treatment (medical or surgical), that could help her live longer, Mochi would need to be seen by a veterinary cardiologist. At any time, she could find herself in heart failure, or she could throw a clot to a vital organ. Sudden death could also result from her serious heart condition. Her family would need to monitor her closely for any changes in breathing, activity level or appetite.
We think Mochi is worth the extra effort that adopting her will require! She has a good appetite and is energetic. She loves to snuggle (she`s very affectionate), she is playful (her fave is a laser pointer), and she is good with other cats.
I am a DHC, and I have my own webpage!
