Ace is a sweet Pitt who loves being outside, going on walks, and playing fetch. He's full of liveliness and is more than ready to find a forever home where he can run and play till his heart's content! Due to the stressful shelter evironment that Ace has been in for some time, he has a lot of energy to burn and will reqiure some obedience training (but show him a treat and his attention is all yours!) . However, once he's gotten all his wiggles out, he loves laying by your side and getting lots of belly rubs! Due to his size, he is not recommended for a house with small children (He just doesn't know his own size!) Also, a meet and greet is required if you own other dogs due to his size and energy. Nevertheless, underneath all that muscle is a big sweet baby who just wants someone to go on and adventure with and to show him love. Dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and other companion animals are available at the Isle of Wight County Animal Shelter. As of March 1, 2013 we now have an adoption fee!
Dogs & Puppies are $90, Cats & Kittens are $75 and all other companion animals are $25 unless stated differently.
The cost for this medical care at local veterinary offices would easily exceed $200.00.
An application must be filled out and approved before adopting one of our pets.
