PIPPIN is a wonderful dog in need of a special owner. He is 2 years old and weighs 68 lbs. He is half german shepherd and half pit bull (we have the DNA to prove it!) He is a graduate of our Paw Behind Bars prison dog training program.
PIPPIN has bumbled his way through his first two years. He was adopted out as a puppy and spent much of his first year in a crate. He switched rescues this past year and we put him through our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. Here is gained basic obedience as well as the companionship of a person who really cared about him. He still had a crate but he got to go and come as he pleased. He got the proper amount of exercise, he got good food and he got to play with other dogs. This is all the stuff a good rehabilitation program is all about.
As happy as PIPPIN is now, he will forever struggle with new people and new things. He can push through his fears, but he needs his person to help him and buffer him if it's too much, too fast. Because of this, we are recommending a quiet, adult home with an experienced dog owner. This is one dog that you can quickly learn to love once he let's you in. He tries so hard!
PIPPIN's ADOPTION FEES ARE WAIVED
