My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read ALL of this listing prior to emailing with questions or inquiries. If you are interested in Deana and feel that you would be a good match for her, you MUST FIRST fill out and submit our application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). After we receive your application and review it, we will contact you. Thank you!

Biscuit is a cute little 11-lb. Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who is looking for his forever home and family, along with his buddy, Dixie. We're told he's about 11-years old, but he certainly doesn't act like a senior... he still has plenty of energy and enjoys going for long walks.

In his foster home, Biscuit gets along well with the other three small dogs. He is well housetrained, and 'does his business' on a leash since his foster home doesn't have a fenced yard. Biscuit does sleep in a crate at night, but doesn't enjoys it and will complain for a while before he settles down. He does not do well riding in a car, so a family who generally stays close to home and will take him for nice long walks (which he really enjoys) will be best for him.

Biscuit especially loves his foster dad, and will cuddle next to or on him whenever possible. We know that he would love to have a male in his new family!

Biscuit is neutered, microchipped, current on his Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and tested negative for Heartworms. He also received a dental cleaning, so he is fully vetted and ready to go to his forever home.

Biscuit's adoption fee is $400.00 if adopted separately. The adoption fee is $600.00 for Biscuit and Dixie together.

Biscuit is a loving, sweet, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that you would like to add Biscuit (or Biscuit and Dixie together) to your family, please submit an application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste).

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home!

Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, the first step is to complete and submit an application. Please e-mail us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com to request the application, which can be e-mailed back or faxed to us. A FHCR volunteer will contact you, and then arrangements can be made to meet the pet through the foster home.

FHCR offers a 3-week trial period to ensure that both the family and the pet are both happy with the results of the adoption. Within that time, we will refund the full adoption fee if the pet is returned. We want to be sure that our pets will have their perfect "forever" homes!
