Our sweet Carla is the definition of a "shy girl". She has understandably had a hard time adjusting to shelter life after being in a home almost her entire life. She generally picks a cubbie to sleep in or sometimes an open cage bed where our other "shy guys" hang out. Carla takes a little while to warm up but once she does she really appreciates the attention and shows you by rolling and purring while you sit by her. She will sometimes meow at you quietly to remind you she is there. Carla would love a quiet home to enjoy with a quiet person. Give her a warm spot to lay and a little attention when she gently requests and you could make this older girl's world bright and wonderful.
Carla seems to photograph with a RBF but I assure you this is not a reflection of her personality. Yes she has been let down by people, but this lady has alot of life and love to give yet if you are willing to give her a little time and patience to trust again.
Carla was adopted from us as a kitten (FKA Mercedes), "changed owners" and came back to the shelter as a surrender after many years because her current person was moving out of the country and surrendered all her animals. When you she came back we decided, since she was starting a new life (again) she needed a new name and so her new name became Carla.
If you have a lot of love and patience to give this girl please submit an online adoption application at our website www.littleorphans.org Give our Adoption Team a little time to process all the info. They will communicate with you thru email, so watch your inbox and spam folder for messages. We can set up a time for you to come in and meet Carla or any of our other friends in the building.
The adoption fee includes spay and UTD vaccinations, and registered microchip.
