Gus, the ADORABLE 9-year-old Bulldog (~40 lbs), is an absolute sweetheart who adores being by his family's side and capturing everyone's hearts. He has a special knack for resting his chin on your lap and gazing up at you with admiration, making it nearly impossible to resist his charm. In the mornings, Gus prefers to take his time getting up and doesn't appreciate being rushed. He has had the pleasure of being around other dogs and kids, and he absolutely adores his food and treats! Keep an eye out though, as he may try to sneak some food from his furry siblings if given the chance. Gus thrives on being with his loved ones, enjoys going on car rides, and is always excited to meet new people. Dogs: Great with big and small dogs. Gus loves his food and treats, so when when feeding Gus recommend supervised or separated feedings.
Cats: Recommend a home with no cats for Gus.
Crate trained: Yes, initially Gus preferred a kennel--now he prefers dog beds and being by his family.
Potty trained: Yes, once Gus learned the household routine, he has had no accidents.
Health concerns: Gus came to us with horrible allergies + hair loss. He is going to continually need to be treated for allergies, special diet and his ears cleaned post adoption

Adoption fee: $375
As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)
Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.
$50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.

We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.
