My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gunner!

This handsome 3-year-old Boxer mix is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly! When Gunner isn’t frolicking with his brother, Jax, he’s soaking up all the love and snuggles he can get. He’s a total sweetheart who adores his favorite people!

Gunner has that classic boxer energy—excitable and fun-loving—but he also knows how to kick back and relax. He does well with other dogs, and meet and greets can be arranged for potential furry siblings and kids.

The best part? Gunner’s adoption fee is sponsored in remembrance of Enzo.

If you’re ready to welcome this lovable guy into your home, apply today at ITVrescue.org!

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
