My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**** FOSTER HOME NEEDED ****

Taz is about 3 years old, was adopted as a kitten by a senior couple who due to failing health, can no longer care for him, so he has been returned to SPCHS for his well-being.

Taz is very loving, likes likes to be touching his human when he's not busy hunting! He is a GREAT hunter - when he hears something (like a mouse), he drops his belly to the floor and moves behind furniture stalking it.

Make no mistake, he is the king of his household! He enjoys sitting in a chair with his legs hanging over the arm looking out the window and enjoys hanging out in the basement in the summer because it is cool. Loves to be brushed with a grooming glove. As king, he demands that his food and treats are served on time! When he decides it is time for his daily homage (pets and adoration) from his human(s) he will lay across the floor in front said human, and can be a tripping hazard!

Taz is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He gets s few drops of lung medicine on his teats to control wheezing twice each day.

Their adoption process

The application process....

After you complete an application, there are several things that we will do:

1. We will check your personal references. Please be sure to list two personal references and include a phone number and an email address. (form asks for one; but I like two)
2. If you do not own your place of residence, we will call your landlord or leasing office. Please check with them first to learn about their pet policy.
3. We will call your veterinarian for a reference. We are looking for a history of annual exams, vaccines maintained routinely, annual heartworm tests and monthly preventatives. We require the following:

* All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered.
* If your pet is not up to date on vaccines, please do not submit the application until you have scheduled an appointment with the vet to get your pets current on their vaccines.

4. If you are a 1st-time pet owner, please include the name and phone number of the veterinarian you plan to use.
5. Be sure to call your Vet(s), giving them permission to speak with us.
6. We may need to do a home visit prior to approving your application, or post-adoption.

If these policies and practices are not acceptable, please do not apply.
