Despite what his name suggests, this guy is far from spicy. Tamale's sweet personality and handsome looks make everyone fall in love with him!
Tamale is a 60 pound Staffordshire terrier mix who would loveeee to be home for Christmas and to be able to watch the ball drop on New Years Eve. Tamale wants to remind his future family to let Santa know his address will have changed from "shelter" to "forever family!"
Come meet Tamale and take him HOME for the holidays! He can't wait to finally have his very own stocking hung on the fireplace.
Tamale is currently waiting for his neuter appointment and rabies, but is available for foster for the time being! All animals must be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated before finalizing adoption.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Southern Illinois was first founded in 1956. We are an open-access shelter that accepts animals from three separate animal control officers, as well as the general public. We are mainly funded through donations and every little bit helps.
We work with a few independent rescue coordinators to place adoptable animals in high quality rescue programs.
As always, this would never have been possible without the kind and generous donations of our members and supporters. Please donate to help sustain this vital Life Saving program!
