I'll be a super happy wiggle butt when you come home, I'll probably be so excited I grab the water dish and dump it out! But that doesn't mean I want you to pick me up or shower me with pets, ok? A little physical affection goes a long way for a girl like me. Couple little pats, maybe a few chin kisses but don't embarrass yourself gushing over me, that's not my style. I'm a smart, happy girl looking for my forever human to peacefully coexist with. I love being outside a lot, like just leave me out awhile please, I'm content out here soaking up all the sights and sounds.
I love toys and I WILL destroy them so be prepared to keep supplying me with new ones. I have great house manners and crate perfectly, in fact sometimes I just prefer my crate. If you're looking for someone fun & spunky who will make a great roommate, I'm your girl. If you're looking for a cuddle buddy, lap dog that likes to spoon, that's not me... yet.
What breed am I? Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there's official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance.
Adoption Donations are $250 for an adult, $350 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $125 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog). Adoption donations are to be made via cash, check, and credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards.
Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption.
We typically have adoption events on Wednesday 5-7pm, Friday 6-8 pm and Saturday noon to 4pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process.
