Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jax is a happy, young guy! He seems eager to learn all the tricks for all the treats. He has lived with young kids in a couple of his previous homes and done mostly well with them, but he may be a better fit for older kids. His ideal home will be a busy one where he has lots of toys to play with and room to run. He loves fetch!
His short term foster says "Jax is absolutely amazing. He stayed with me for the weekend through the winter storm, so we spent a lot of time cuddled up in bed. He loves to be close to you and enjoyed being under the blankets. He was very playful, fetch being his favorite. He loved the snow and was jumping and rolling around in it! He is truly the sweetest boy and just wants to be loved on. He is 100% house trained and let me know when he needed to go outside."
---
Volunteers say "We took Jax on a short walk at Stephen's Park and took him to lunch at the outdoor seating at Pasta La Flata. He was great! Super sweet the whole time. He was VERY shy and timid at first, but he warmed up to us after a little while. Jax would be great for anyone really. He seemed interested in the kids at the park like he had maybe been around kiddos before."
"Jax and I went on a drive to Stephens Lake and walked around the lake for a while. Then we went to my house and cuddled on the couch and he took a little nap. Jax wants to be as close as possible when snuggling, he is a love bug and wants as much affection as possible! He takes treats nicely from my hand and is a perfectly behaved gentleman while riding in the car. He didn't seem to want to do anything but be pet and sleep in my arms. What a sweetie pie! He also enjoyed playing fetch."

The Columbia Humane Society was formed in 1943 to provide shelter and care for Columbia’s abandoned animals.
