My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Loomie! Soooo funny story about how I got my name... My friends here at CAC came to work and saw little old me tied to the light pole. So they decided to name me Loomie! Now it also could stand for my electric personality because I am a very sweet girl who loves her people. I have done well with the children that I have met so far! I need to be an only dog; No dogs or small animals please! (That includes cats) Try and train as much as you like, but I need to live on a property that is nowhere near other dogs because my history has made me only enjoy being near people. My friends don`t know exactly what has happened in my past, but I am a very sweet girl who loves attention and if you`re a multiple pet kind of owner, I`m not the girl for you. I am an only child and intend to keep it that way. I have a lot of energy and I`m excited to find my furrever home! Please be sure you have the right amount of time, space, and resources to care for me for the rest of my life.

More about this shelter

Companions Animal Center is a non-profit organization funded exclusively by donations and grants. Every day we receive numerous homeless animals. We shelter, feed, and provide medical care for these animals while searching for loving homes for them.

As a "No-Kill" shelter, animals who are in our facility do not face a "be adopted quick or else" ultimatum but rather are cared for until they can be placed.

Our Mission - is to focus all of our efforts and resources toward directly benefiting the quality of life for all abandoned or mistreated pets with the ultimate goal of finding each one a loving household in which to share their lives.
