My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

YZMA'S STORY:
Yzma has a rough backstory. Born to a feral mother, Yzma and her siblings were born in a sewer near a retirement community. A kindhearted elderly gentleman took pity on the scrawny, abandoned mother and began feeding mama as she nursed her newborns. Unfortunately, the apartment complex threatened to evict the gentleman if he continued caring for the cats. Worried about the kitties' safety, the desperate man called HSOC; HSOC immediately stepped in and rescued the family of kitties. Now, Mama is happily adopted and Yzma is enjoying Foster Care, waiting patiently for their purrfect Fur-ever Family.

YZMA'S PERSONALITY:
Yzma has that darling mix of sweet and sass. She is enthusiastic about cuddle time; she has joined her foster in binge watching multiple shows! Yzma also likes playtime and will show off her acrobatics. A chatty, social, enthusiastic darling, Yzma is a bundle of joy who is difficult to refuse! Yzma thrives with other kitties and needs a forever home where she can have a feline sibling.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Submit your application today!

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Oldham County is the areas first no kill animal rescue. We run a top notch spay\neuter clinic, rescue and find loving homes for homeless or abused animals in our area, monitor and care for feral cat colonies including TNR. We also help the community through our many programs including Kentucky State Reformatory(KSR) Camp K9 where dogs are housed with professionally trained, monitored, nonviolent inmates to socialize and train our adoptable dogs to be highly adoptable and have good basic skills. A wonderful program for the inmates and our dogs.
