This is one of Silky Mae's kittens, she was rescued from a store parking lot when she was VERY pregnant. This little fella was born in foster care -- he's one of the lucky ones!
His name is Dave MEOWTHEWS and he is a long haired almost totally black kitty. He has a rowdy group of six siblings, but holds his own and is very playful and friendly kitten. He likely would be very happy, and happier, if adopted along with a sibling, as two kittens always do better together or with other felines to befriend in the home.
He is not a picky eater, has good litter box manners and doesn't exhibit any escaping tendencies.
Dave M has had all age appropriate vaccines and has been treated for parasites, will be tested for FeLUK/FIV, neutered and micro-chipped when he is old enough.
Notes: As with all YOUNG kittens, SPCHS will not permit Dave Meowthews to be adopted by a family with children under 6 years old.
NOTE: Kittens cannot be accurately tested for FIV/FeLeuk until at least 10-12 weeks of age. S-PCHS does not allow untested kittens to go to their forever homes until they show a negative test. Applications may be submitted for review, but kitten adoptions will only be finalized when after age appropriate testing is complete.

After you complete an application, there are several things that we will do:
1. We will check your personal references. Please be sure to list two personal references and include a phone number and an email address. (form asks for one; but I like two)
2. If you do not own your place of residence, we will call your landlord or leasing office. Please check with them first to learn about their pet policy.
3. We will call your veterinarian for a reference. We are looking for a history of annual exams, vaccines maintained routinely, annual heartworm tests and monthly preventatives. We require the following:
* All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered.
* If your pet is not up to date on vaccines, please do not submit the application until you have scheduled an appointment with the vet to get your pets current on their vaccines.
4. If you are a 1st-time pet owner, please include the name and phone number of the veterinarian you plan to use.
5. Be sure to call your Vet(s), giving them permission to speak with us.
6. We may need to do a home visit prior to approving your application, or post-adoption.
If these policies and practices are not acceptable, please do not apply.
