My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption fee: $200, plus taxes
Location: Foster home

I'm a recent momma cat looking for a home where I can be the baby now! Tootsie is very pretty and very sweet with very soft fur. She loves attention from her people. She will roll her head and make sure you get ample opportunity to give her chin pets. She is very graceful jumping and is quite a good athlete. At our Adoption center she would love to get up high on our cat shelves and survey her domain.
A nice cat tree by a window would be right up her alley. We have only seen a little bit of play with Tootsie so far at the center. We thinks it's just a matter of her being relaxed enough to just have fun. Tootsie will be a wonderful companion.
We think Tootsie may be happiest as your only kitty. It may be possible for her to be with a male cat with proper slow introductions, but the best thing may be solo.

Tootsie is spayed, microchipped and is current with her vaccinations

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
