Meet Callie, a sweet 13-year-old Calico who has been through a lot. She was adopted as a tiny kitten and lived with her owner until they had to go into the hospital on 2/27/24. Callie stayed in her carrier at the kennel until a wonderful foster took her home on 3/15/24.

Callie is slowly coming out of her shell. Her foster mom says, `She is ok with me but I am limited on what she lets me do. I can pet her, but she will hiss (maybe a sign of affection) and then walk away almost immediately.` I would add that she is becoming affectionate with my son, who she spends most of her time with.

Callie has great potential and just needs some time and patience. She isn`t a fan of other animals and will hiss to say `back off.` Let`s help Callie find a forever home where she can feel safe and loved! ????

To adopt a pet, we encourage you to visit the Pet Adoption Center as often as you like. You will be asked to fill out an adopton application and speak to a staff member who will help you make your selection. We are happy to keep your information on file and work with you to the best of our ability to help you find the perfect pet. Adoption fees are $60.00 this includes, spay or neuter, microchip, worming, some vaccinations, and heartworm test for. We offer a feline leukemia test for $15.00 non refundable at the time of adoption.

We are located across from the St. Charles Community College, approximately 3 miles south of I70 and 1 mile north of Hwy 94 on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6:30pm, and Saturday 10 to 4pm

St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is a full service animal shelter. Our Animal Control Officers work throughout St. Charles County to protect animals and people and educate animal owners about responsible pet ownership. At our Pet Adoption Center, we take in strays for safe keeping until their owners come to claim them. We offer microchipping services to the public during our regular business hours. The Pet Adoption Center always has a large variety of dogs and cats available for adoption.
