Meet Wyatt! He is an 8 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 55 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Wyatt is good with other dogs! He hasn’t been texted around older children or cats. No younger children, due to his reactivity! Wyatt bit the owner’s grandchild in 2019. This occurred when her grandson tried to move Wyatt off of his spot on the couch, causing Wyatt to bite him. He gets nervous around falling objects and loud noises. The owner is surrendering him because she is moving out of the state and can’t take him with. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible!
If you think you can provide a great home for Wyatt, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Wyatt.

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 70,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
