My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Leo, a charming 1-year-old mixed breed weighing in at 40 pounds. This happy-go-lucky pup is both house trained and crate trained, making him a perfect addition to any household. Leo is a social butterfly who loves playing with other dogs, enjoys leisurely walks, adores car rides, and can't get enough of playing with toys and chewing on bones. He's a water enthusiast who finds joy in splashing around and having fun.

Leo's foster mom describes him as the happiest boy with the most adorable smile. His friendly, outgoing nature means he craves attention and isn't picky about who it comes from. Whether it's a friend or a stranger, Leo will be the first to greet them at the door with a wagging tail and a big smile. He gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an ideal family pet.

Leo knows the "sit" command and is eager to please. Although he's still working on his leash skills, his excitement for walks is contagious. With a bit more training, Leo's leash manners will improve as he learns to manage his enthusiasm.

This adaptable, confident, and playful pup has a special love for children. His foster mom believes Leo would be in doggy heaven living with kids, as he forms strong bonds with them and thrives on their companionship. Leo also loves going to the park with the kids and even enjoys playing on the playground equipment, especially the slide. His playful spirit suggests he might excel at agility training, adding another layer of fun to his already joyful nature.

In summary, Leo is a happy, playful, and loyal dog who's ready to bring endless joy to his forever home. With his love for kids, dogs, and even cats, Leo is pretty perfect and will make a wonderful addition to any loving family. His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
