My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Bean, and I'm a 30lb terrier mix with a heart full of love. At approximately 9 months old, I'm still a young pup with lots of energy and affection to give.

I've been told I'm quite the snuggle bug—I just can't resist curling up next to my favorite humans or pups for some quality cuddle time. I thrive on attention and affection, and I'm always eager to please. I'm currently working hard on my house training and learning basic commands, and I'll sit for treats as soon as I see them.

While I haven't had the chance to be around kids or cats yet, I've made friends with every person and dog I've met. I have a gentle disposition and a playful spirit, making me a great companion for both humans and furry friends alike.

You might notice some little scars scattered across my body, but they're just reminders of my resilience and strength. Despite whatever challenges I've faced in the past, I'm ready to embrace the future with open paws and a wagging tail. My foster mom has been working patiently with me to help me understand that my crate is a safe place, and I'm learning to feel more secure day by day.

With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, I know I'll continue to blossom into the wonderful companion I'm meant to be. I can't wait to embark on new adventures with a forever family who will show me that the future is way brighter than the past.

Everyone MUST submit an application to be considered for adoption

Interview

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
