Sugar, spice, and everything nice—that's Candy! This sweet girl is a whirlwind of fun and affection, just like your favorite candy shop. With a bounce in her step and a sparkle in her eye, Candy is all about walks, swimming, and playing fetch till your heart's content. Her angelic smile and soulful brown eyes are like a scoop of ice cream on a sunny day, instantly lifting the blues away.

When it’s time for belly rubs and snuggles, Candy transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug, making every car ride a cozy adventure. And for those Sundays when the world feels a little gloomy, let Candy's sweetness melt your worries away!

Chris, a dedicated volunteer, shares, As I walk down the aisle of kennels, Candy's excitement is contagious. She wiggles her tail like crazy, giving me that 'Pick me! Pick me!' look. Her little spin move when she sees the harness makes my day every time.

Before you can meet sweet Candy, please complete an adoption application on our website at pawscrossedny.org! Once your application is approved, you will be sent a brief questionnaire that must be completed before you can make an appointment. If you have any questions about Candy, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information.

The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.

We are dedicated to being a true no-kill rescue. This means we will only euthanize for terminal illness or irreversible suffering. We are committed to saving as many lives as we can, while also providing the best possible environment for the pets in our care.
