My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was found in the attic of a home in Mooresville as a baby when a Good Samaritan heard me crying. FNR volunteers went up into the attic and had to use a trap to get me out of the walls. Just a baby left behind !I have been in foster care too long  and want a home of my own! Is is because I am black?? Surprise! I have a fairly large white patch on my chest.

I love to drape across my current foster as the sun starts to come thorugh the window and nuzzle her hand for a head rub!  I LOVE head rubs!!  I am a  wonderful example of being a well behaved cat and I am teaching some semi ferals how to win my foster over!  If the other cats try to get head rubs, I conveniently push my head through for my own, lay on her chest purring and getting nice smooth strokes of affection! I am very affectionate but can be easily startled with quick movement and will dash away for a short time only to come back for more petting. I get along with other cats to the point that I need to have a playmate when I want to be kittenish. After all, I'm still very young and want to have a good time during the day.

I am totally vetted, fixed (though I was never broken) and microchipped! Ready for my own human to help me get rid of my fear of quick movements, to live a a whole house environment and to claim a window of my own for bird watching. A trial run can be arranged as FNR wants a success and knows people are wary of  committing to the unknown.  Take a chance and foster to adopt for 30 days.

More about this rescue

Started in 2003 Feline Network Rescue INC is a 501C3 charity originally located in Northern VA but relocated to the Greater Charlotte NC in 2019. Feline Network Rescue, has been monumentally instrumental in trap, neuter and return of ferals and has found homes for hundreds of cats over the years who were stray, abandoned or living on their own in the wild. The mission now continues in North Carolina. A partnership was formed with Faithful Friends Animal Rescue, and then a grant was provided to them. With that over 700 cats were TNR'd by Barbara and one other amazing woman in 14 months.

Feline Network Rescue does NOT have a shelter, but utilizes foster homes of wonderful volunteers that dedicate their time and energy to provide a natural home setting to our rescued kitties...
We have NO paid staff, depend on donations and the generosity of our volunteers, friends and adopters to keep our program going strong.
Our success depends on not only the love for cat rescue and generosity of volunteers, but also the community who see the results of our work and realize that our passion to help homeless cats and kittens will "make a difference... one rescue at a time."
