Hi friends!! My name is Abby, and I am a 5-year-old hound/lab mix. I came from North Carolina. I am a spunky girl and have so much love to give. I love running around the yard and playing fetch. I love the people here! In my first few days here, I have been soaking up as much attention from the caretakers as possible! I love pets and just hanging out with them. I don't love the New York winter so far. After a play session outside, I get pretty cold and want to nap in my warm bed. I keep quiet in the kennel and keep my space very clean. I would love to relax in a home with a family; it has to be much better than kennel life! I'm fairly mellow, but when I get going, I love to zoom! If you find me super cute, stop down to Stray Haven to meet me and give me some pets!

Additional adoption info

Stray Haven requires an in-person visit with our adoptable pets and completion of the adoption application. Our standard adoption donation is $225 for adult dogs, $275 for puppies, and $100 for cats, and $120 for kittens. All adoption packages and specials include up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.

Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA is a small private non-profit humane society dedicated to ensuring the protection of animals through education and service. Since 1967, Stray Haven has served Tioga County, NY and neighboring communities, providing shelter and care for homeless animals. Today we continue to offer many services with the generous support of the public, including pet adoptions, spay/neuter programs, dog obedience classes, pet therapy, cruelty investigations, humane education, children’s outreach programs and rewarding volunteer opportunities.
