My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sassafras started out being the shy one of her litter, but has completely come out of her shell. She has a fascination for playing in her water bowl, so we think she will love water of all kinds. A trip to the lake would be perfect for her! She is very affectionate and enjoys human company. She has also been around dogs of every size and age and even kitties. She is playful and active and would be a great addition to your family!

More about this shelter

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 3 to 4 weeks) with pre-adopted animals.Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue.
