My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bentley is an approximately 6 year old neutered male cat who is looking for his furever home!

Bentley came to us with some bad injuries from being chemically burned and still carries some scars behind his ears. It was human done, so he is extremely shy of new people. We’ve been working with him for a year and can confidently say that whoever adopts him that is willing to put in the work to gain his trust is going to get the bestest of boys! Bentley trusts his fosters and loves attention from them and being around them. His foster says he is extremely well mannered and causes no trouble and is better behaved than her own cats!

Bentley’s perfect home must have at least one other cat who likes other cats. If he cannot find his foster siblings, he wanders the house meowing out until he finds one. He doesn't require being attached to them, but he likes knowing he isn't the only kitty at the house. He likes to snuggle and play with other cats, but can also happily lay on the couch by himself across from another cat. Bentley is not a huge fan of dogs, but has come to accept his foster dog sibling. It took some time and patience, so a calm dog may be okay. Bentley would do best in a home with no small children. He does not like high energy, nor does he like being held. He is not a lap cat but will lay right next to you with a paw on your leg. He does not care for his claws being trimmed, which we are working on, but he does use cardboard scratchers as both a scratcher and a bed. Bentley’s “worst personality trait” is that he drags the dog’s water bowl around. He doesn't spill it. He just moves it to the middle of the room. We have no idea why, but it’s both cute and sometimes annoying. That is honestly his worst behavior. As we said, he’s pretty perfect!

Bentley’s adoption fee is $40 and includes his spay, up to date vaccines, a nail trim before he goes home, his current favorite scratcher, and one of his all time favorite toys!
