Are you ready to welcome a loving and loyal companion into your home? Meet Southcross, a stunning white male Poodle mix born around June 23, 2022. Southcross has a story of resilience and hope, and he’s looking for a forever home where he can share his abundant love and joy.

For over three months, Southcross wandered the streets, begging for food and attention. Despite his difficult circumstances, he remained friendly and hopeful. The residents of a local trailer park provided him with food and water, but no one claimed him as their own. When storms threatened, a kind-hearted Samaritan couldn’t bear to see Southcross out in the weather and brought him to our rescue.

Southcross is a social butterfly who loves meeting new friends, both human and animal alike. He walks beautifully on a leash and is always eager for an adventure or a cuddle session. This pup is ready to bring endless happiness to a loving family.

This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application is required. Applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. A picture of your home or yard may be requested

All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHPP, bordetella, heartworm test/treat if positive) and are micro-chipped.

Our fees start at $200, transport out of Texas is arranged by us and is generally an additional $200.
We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet. Our contract requires if an adoption does not work out the dog is to be returned to us. We need at least two weeks notice.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dog. We pride ourselves in providing a complete and honest evaluation of each dog to ensure the best possible placement for both the dog and the adopter.

A Doggie 4 You is an all volunteer organization and consists of two programs:
1) A Doggie 4 You rescues dogs from kill facilities and unsafe environments, fully vet the dogs, then adopt them to loving families

2)The Hill Country Daisy Fund helps hill country rescues in by providing monetary support for adoptable animals in shelters who have a treatable injury or illness or low income individuals who need assistance with food or veterinary care in order to keep their pet.

We are located in the Texas Hill Country. We can arrange for safe transport to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and can be transported to you if you adopt from us.
