My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rex is a delightful, happy boy with a tail that never stops wagging, whether it's a gentle swish or hearty thwack-thwack-thwack. He enthusiastically greets friends and strangers alike, eager to socialize and share his sunny, winning personality with the world. Since he was rescued from the shelter only moments before they were going to drag him into the killing room, Rex has been in the care of a home boarder with over a dozen other dogs in the house, so he's been mostly crated when he's not in the yard playing (which of course he loves and could happily do all day), so he's really, really ready for a foster or forever home where he'll get to be included as a valued member of the household. Please consider giving this sweetheart a chance! His smile and joy for life are contagious and we guarantee his presence will brighten your life!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

People can submit an adoption application

2.

Interview

First we do reference checks, THEN we do a full 1 to 1.5 hr interview with the applicant

3.

Home Check

Home checks used to be done in person but lately we do a zoom walk through of the home, checking especially the backyard and crate set up

4.

Meet the Pet

If the dog is here in Canada they can do a meet and greet to finalize that they are in fact who they say they are and a good match

5.

Approve Application

we would send an email approving the adopter (or declining if they aren't approved)

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

We would send the adoption contract which they would fill out and send back.

7.

Pay Fee

They would transfer the adoption fee to cover transport costs and vetting of the dog. Then they would come pick up the dog from the foster.

Additional adoption info

No other additional information. Some of our dogs are adopted as soon as they come up on a "foster-to-adopt" trial period to ensure the perfect match.
