My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy is an adorably round senior kitty with the cutest nose spot. She is believed to have enjoyed a quiet home with one trusted caregiver for most of her life and we know she can't wait to find that new bestie and get some much-deserved relaxation in her golden years.

Both in her last home and in the shelter, Daisy is known to rub against legs and purr sweetly when ready for some pets. This lady tends to appreciate lower-pressure interactions - such as approaching for pets on her terms and contentedly sleeping at the foot of her human's bed at night. Her ideal new owners will appreciate that, while Daisy may be more of a "four on the floor" gal than a major lap-cat, she has her own endearing ways of showing her affection. Once comfortable she'll likely greet her new people entering the home with a soft chirp and a cute trot to say in her own way "welcome home!"

For her comfort, Daisy is available to a home with kids aged 10+ or no kids, and where she'll be the only pet.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter and first vaccines, medical exam, and microchip.

How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.

We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.

Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.
