My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wrangler, a charming large mix-breed puppy with a heart full of love and a future as big as his paws. This sweet boy is destined to grow into a magnificent companion, but he needs the right family to help him flourish.

~ Wrangler is a bundle of affection, always ready to snuggle and shower you with puppy kisses. However, new places and environments can make him a bit nervous, so he's searching for a calm yet active home where he can feel secure and loved.
~ A serene, consistent environment is essential for Wrangler to build his confidence. Apartments aren't suitable for him due to his nervous nature, so he's looking for a house with a secure yard (Not required but ideal) where he can play and explore without the stress of close neighbors and constant noise.
~ Wrangler would do best with older, dog-savvy children who can understand his needs and interact with him gently. An active family that enjoys outdoor adventures and playtime would be perfect for him, but they also need to provide the calm and stability he craves in his everyday life.
~ Wrangler is still learning his leash manners and basic obedience, so he requires three in-person training sessions to help him overcome his nervousness and become the well-behaved pup he has the potential to be. With the right guidance and patience, Wrangler will grow into a confident and loyal companion.

If you have a loving home and are ready to invest in Wrangler's training and development, he will reward you with endless love and loyalty. Are you the family that can give Wrangler the forever home he deserves?

Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed:
- High Energy
- Nervous/Shy
- Very Fearful/Nervous
- Mouthy
- Jumpy
- Under-Socialized

Explanation of Behaviours:
- He is an active and high energy dog, his new family will need to provide him plenty of daily exercise, enrichment and training.
- He can be nervous of new people, in new environments and in new situations. His new family will need to be patient and help him become more comfortable with these things and help him build his confidence.
- When comfortable with people he can become jumpy, mouthy and/or pushy for interactions or attention.
- He is under-socialized and will need proper positive socialization to the world around him at a pace he is comfortable with.

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live.
