My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo is a sweet boy! Last year, Leo was found as a young stray in rural Kentucky, suffering from severe mange. Thankfully, he thrived in his foster home and we are happy to report he is a very healthy pup! Leo has been through a 3-week professional board-and-train program and comes to his forever family fully trained. His trainers will work with his forever family via continued training sessions to ensure Leo is set up for success. At the recommendation of his trainers, Leo should be an only-dog. We'd be happy to discuss that further with any prospective forever families. Leo has completed his vet care and is ready to go to his forever home ASAP!If youre interested in adopting, please submit an application and well be in touch ASAP. His adoption fee is $250. A meet with any approved applicants current pets is required before beginning the 2-week adoption trial period. Please visit our website savedbyfate.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Additional adoption info

SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

More about this rescue

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
