My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update: Check out the new photo of Millie looking out the window ;-) She is looking for a forever home! Millie's foster said she is the perfect house dog and companion, including the best travel buddy-Millie loves road trips in the car!;-)

Update: I passed my dog evaluation with flying colors and made 5 new dog friends!

Hi .... I'm Miss Millie. I'm so grateful for Love-A-Stray because I was abandoned at Miller Road Park in Avon Lake, the ACO found me wrapped in a blanket;-(. I was taken to the Avon Lake Animal Clinic and after no one claimed me, I was turned over to Love-A-Stray. LAS had me vaccinated and I tested negative for HW. I received 2 medicated baths, ear meds and skin meds. I was underweight, but now I gained 6 lbs and I weigh 57 pounds. Dr Krupka said I'm 7 or 8 years old and my teeth look fantastic. I had some skin issues that are clearing up and I'm looking really GOOD! I'm in a great new foster home and my foster said I'm the perfect house dog!! I walk well on lead and I'm just a very sweet doggy! I would like a cat-less home.

If you are interested in me, please submit an online application, so my friends at Love-A-Stray can determine if you are a good match. If you have questions, please email info@loveastraydog.com. LAS does not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. My adoption fee is $ 50.00. If you can't foster or adopt me, please consider donating for my care. Visit www.loveastraydog.com for PayPal, Venmo or mail a check - Attn: Millie to LAS, PO Box 125, Avon Lake, Oh 44012. Thank you very MUCH!

Additional adoption info

Love-A-Stray is a non-profit all volunteer rescue group with most of our volunteers also having full time jobs, so we do the best we can to answer all inquires as soon as possible.

We ask that you complete our adoption application, so we can lean a little bit about you to ensure we can help find your perfect match.

Please do not ask us to ship our dogs out of state. WE DO NOT SHIP! We require adopters to fill out an adoption form and agree to the terms of our adoption contract. All pets are spay/neutered and vaccinated.

In addition to looking on the website, we show many of our rescued dogs at regular adoption events. Check out our upcoming events for the next opportunity to meet some of our dogs in person.

More about this rescue

Love-A-Stray is a small, non-profit, all-volunteer organization focused on helping abandoned, forgotten and neglected dogs. Without a physical shelter, our rescue dogs are housed in loving foster homes; minimizing operating costs and allowing adoption fees, donations, and fundraising efforts to directly benefit the dogs in our care. Every dog we rescue is completely vetted including spay/neuter before they are adopted out to a new family. We strive to find new adoptive families willing to make a lifetime commitment for each dog we rescue. We rely on our loyal supporters to help us raise funds to help us continue our good work.
